Poem - Born Again

The veil is removed –the new me is unraveled

No more walking in darkness; weakened by hollow philosophies

Now walking in the heavenly light – illuminated the eyes of my heart

To discern the reality of life and mysteries of His indissoluble Kingdom

I soar on the daily relationship with God, his Word a delight to my soul

Memories of yesterday that would invariably pull me back to the old life

Died out without lingering – oh what inexpressible joy to know

This weight that rested on my shoulders has been lifted

This salvation freely gifted

I’m born again

Jesus is my Lord and Savior

I’m born again

My sins washed by the blood of Jesus

I’m born again

Sanctified and justified

I’m born again

Baptized by the Holy Spirit

I’m born again

Assured of eternal life through Jesus

I’m born again

Because I’m in Christ – there is no condemnation

At the restoration of creation, my soul will not suffer damnation

The curtain is torn, salvation is flowing

Christ is risen, his glory is ever glowing

Mounting opposition, yet the saints still stand and growing

The world offers many momentary pleasures

Yet what I have gained in Christ is more than many treasures

Infinite love and enduring wisdom paired, awe in me instill,

Captured my heart; I surrendered to his will.

   

Poem - Our Lord

In the Lord’s arms, I find love and comfort

Under his outspread wings, I take my refuge

In His presence, I find abundant grace and mercy

Flowing from his throne is wisdom – free of charge

Sweeter than honey is the fountain that quenches my thirst

Through his precious blood, I am forgiven and purified – O yes I am sanctified

The power of his name torments enemies – they flee in haste

By His Spirit, I am helped and encouraged – drawing my strength

Through his angels, I am served and protected

In His word, truth is discovered – truth about the why’s and how’s

In His way, I follow - the path that leads to life eternal

Beautiful is His face – how I wish I was in His presence

Praising Him day and night with the heavenly hosts

Because in His presence, there are no tears or sorrows

On His mountain, Mount Zion – there’s joy unending – where my hope resides.

Jesus is the answer

If you can't find true happiness in life, then you haven't met Jesus yet.  If you can't find the peace that surpasses all understanding, then you haven't truly encountered Jesus yet. And if you're not sure of which path to follow, then you haven't had an experience with Jesus.  Jesus is still calling. He is standing at your door and knocking. Will you allow him to come in and become your friend - someone who will not disappoint you or lie to you. His love for you is unconditional. If your mother or father rejects you, Jesus will never abandon you. 

Since I allowed Jesus into my life, I have joy unspeakable, blessings innumerable and life imperishable. I realized that I could not deal with this pressures of life. I realized that there are unseen forces fighting against me. Because this life is a journey. The journey is not always smooth. There are obstacles on the way, there are principalities who would not give up until they see you fail and fall. The journey is not as as safe as we think. 

Therefore I ask you: Would you want to go on this journey alone or want to go with someone who be by your side till the end? Wouldn't you want someone who can help you back on your feet if you fall? Would you want to go with someone who has overcome these forces we can't see? We all know friends or even families sometimes leave us alone when the journey gets tough. This is because they are humans, with weaknesses like ourselves. 

But in Christ Jesus, you have a friend, a brother and a father who will not leave you when you fall or condemn who you fault. He is a compassionate and loving savior who truly understands our weaknesses. He prays and intercedes for you so that you that the devil will not sift you like wheat. For Christ to die for our sins on the cross and take all our blames shows how much he loves us.

 I have experienced his goodness and mercies; I have tasted his love and compassion and I have received his grace and salvation and I can testify that there is no words that can describe this unending feeling. I will certainly not trade this gift for gold or diamond or even for fame. Jesus is the answer of your problems - your anxieties, depression, worries, broken heart. 

Today is your day. He desires that you call on his name; JESUS, because he is near. He is alive. Jesus is alive. Today is your day. God bless you for reading this.

Akwaaba 2014. Happy New Year

        
Akwaaba is a Ghanaian word that means "welcome." Pronounced (Aqua-a-ba).

 It is exciting to be alive and to see the first day of 2014. Many people who started the previous year with us could not live to see this new year. However we have made it by the special grace of God. Therefore, we should not take it for granted but give glory to God in heaven. It is the Lord who has carried us on his wings from the beginning of last year till now. Great and mighty is our God. Hallelujah. 

What are your goals for 2014? Have you set any plans for 2014? If you haven't done that yet, then you should definitely set a goal for this year because this year is not going to be just another year. I believe it is going to be a year of fulfillment, therefore you should set some goals you want to achieve in life. The Bible says in Proverbs 16:9 that a man's heart plans his way but the LORD directs his steps. Thus, you will need to plan something in order for God to direct you.

God has a great plan for you and I in this year. How do I know that? I know this because the Word of God tells us in Jeremiah 29:11 that the LORD knows His plans for us, a plan to prosper us and not to harm us, a plan to give us hope and future. All you need to do is trust fully in God,be prayerful and have faith. For us to walk with God and have anything from him, we will need to walk by faith and not by sight because without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6). 

Above all, we should draw closer to God this year. We should forget about the past failures and move forward. There are new blessings ahead for us but if we give up now, we won't be able to receive all that God has promised to us. Christ Jesus is with us, therefore we should not panic. The road may not be smooth but keep moving and don't look at others. Don't compare yourself with others because each of us carry different burden and different grace that overcomes it. Stay on the narrow road because it leads to eternal life and don't be self centered.We should be generous to the needy and love unconditionally.

Happy New year to all and I pray that this year you will make Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior if you haven't yet met Him. Because He is the redeemer and savior of the world. May the blessings of God be upon everyone and may he give us peace that surpasses all understanding.

Jesus Christ Unlimited

It is exciting to be able to blog again after taking a very long break from here. Thanks to the Lord Most High, who has blessed and favored me. I am thankful to be alive and happy to talk about Jesus Christ the savior of the world. 

For me, the good thing about living in this generation is that we have Christ Jesus unlimited. One does not need to be in Jerusalem in order to hear about Jesus or to walk on the path Jesus walked in order to feel his presence. Also, we don't need to be baptized only in the river Jordan to receive the Holy Spirit, and one does not also need to be fluent in Greek or Hebrew in order to understand the depth of God's love for humanity.

What this means is that we have Jesus Christ unlimited. In addition, He gives the Holy Spirit to all people who receive Him.  He is available, so call on Him today. He loves who you, he cares for you and will not let you be ashamed. It is written in the Word that we should cast all our cares upon him because he cares for us (1Peter 5:7). What a gracious and loving God He is. 

I do not know how the year 2013 turned out to for you, but you do not need to be afraid in the coming year. All you need to do is to commit your life and all your ways to Jesus and he will give you peace, joy and fulfill the desires of your heart. He is waiting for you. He yearns to embrace you and welcome you into the Kingdom of God. I do not know what the year 2014 is going to bring, but one thing I am sure of is that my life is hidden in Christ Jesus and nothing can separate me from the love of God.

Christ Jesus is coming again. You don't need to pay to be part of the Kingdom of God. All you need is to make the decision to follow Jesus today. God bless you as you read this.

Jesus loves you!

This is what the Bible says the end will be like for people who choose to serve Jesus and those who serve idols, the beast or Satan:
Rev. 20:4-5: {I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony of Jesus, and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or his image and had not received his mark on their forehead or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years. The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended. This is the first resurrection}

And Revelation 20:12,15 says: And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and the books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they have done as recorded in the book. If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire}....[This is the word of God]...Whether you believe in Christ Jesus or not, in that day, you are gonna be stand before God and be judged.

Muslims, Confucianists, Buddhists, Hindus, Satanists, Mayans, Sikhs, Atheists, Santerias are all going to stand in the presence of God to be judged on whether you believed in Jesus Christ and walked the way God expected you to walk or not. In that day, it will be too late to change your mind to come to the knowledge of Christ Jesus. Jesus came to the world to die for the sins of everyone that who ever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life (John 3;16). Jesus shed his blood for you and I. Please, listen to the gospel, believe in Christ and walk in the light and you shall reign with Jesus forever. Today is the day, tomorrow might be late for you. Many people are worshiping false gods, images of the beast but have no idea. Don't be one of those who have eyes but cannot see, have ears but cannot hear (Mark 8:18).

Devil worshippers are already in our society. I don't have time to list them, but you can find them on youtube openly confessing their faith in the devil( a fallen angel deceiving many). All the hiphops, rap music and the junk music are all products of the devil. The movie and music industry are being controlled by the devil and his agents. Jesus loves you and He wishes that no one perish. We have to know that there devil is the author of lies and he is a liar (John 8:44). But Jesus is the prince, the author and promoter of peace (John 14:27). The world can never give peace to anyone except Jesus.

Jesus is the Lord of all lords and the King of kings. He will reign forever with those who are obedient to his word and those whose ways are righteous. Repent and commit your life to Jesus and he will come and dwell in you and you shall become a child of God. Jesus says in Rev. 22:14-16: {Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.“Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city. Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.
I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you a this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.} Amen.

The Seal of God...Part 2

Praise God today and forever! I said in the other post that the fact that one or many read about Jesus doesn't mean they know Him. You might wonder why I said that. It is simple. I can read other religious books such as the Koran but I won't necessarily  and automatically become a Muslim.But the Holy Spirit has been promised to all those who believe in Jesus Christ as the Son of the Most High God. The Holy Spirit comes into us to give us power (Acts 1:8), to teach us all things( John 14:26), and reveal the mysteries of God (1 Corinth 2:10-15). We can no longer live in ignorance and become like those who haven't heard of the good news, because we cannot please God if we live by the flesh and not by the Spirit (Rom. 8:8). Paul writes in Romans 8:14 that those who are led by the Spirit of God are the sons of God. We are the children of God; redeemed, purchased and saved by the blood of Jesus. We no longer live as the unbelievers, but live by the faith in the Son of God because Christ lives in us (Galatians 2:20).

Many pastors preach part of the Bible and not the whole Bible. They preach what will be comfortable and acceptable for the congregation and even themselves. It is demeaning to God for Christians to doubt his power which is the Spirit of God dwelling is us. If we doubt, then  what separate us from the world if we don't believe in the power of God. In Mark 16:15-18, Jesus explicitly said that specific signs will accompany all those who believe and are baptized : i) they will drive out demons( demons still exist by the way-they are fallen spirits and don't die) ii) they will speak in new tongues iii) they will pick up snakes with their hands and will not hurt them iv) they will place their hands on sick people and they will recover. 

We know for certain these signs followed Jesus in his ministry. So why is it that others believe that this signs cannot come upon believers in this 21st Century? This is evidence of the Spirit of God which was so evident in Christ Jesus' life and ministry. Again, all these signs followed the apostles both men and women. Peter and Paul raised the dead (Acts 9:36-42 and Acts 20:9-12) respectively. In Acts 2, all the disciples spoke in new tongues and healed the sick throughout their ministries. Even Paul was attacked by a viper but didn't die when all the people thought he was going to die (Acts 28:3-6).

We shouldn't forget that Jesus said in John 14:12 " anyone who has faith in me will do the works I have been doing and even greater things than these"(There is no limitation to this "anyone" because i am part of that "anyone" and you are part too). This shows that Christ Jesus want us to do all that he did and even more than that. If we have a faith just like the mustard seed, we will be able to do wonders as Jesus said to us in Luke 17:6 and Matthew 17:20. If you have the Holy Spirit dwelling in you and have faith, nothing will be impossible for you because all things are possible to them that believe (Mark 9:23). The Holy Spirit requires our genuine faith in God to function. We have a "Spirit" in us that is from God. And the word of God remains forever. If it worked for Paul, Peter, James, John, Philip etc it will still work for me and you because Christ Jesus is alive and he is the Word of God (John 1:14).

You might asked how then can one receive the Holy Spirit! Firstly, you need to be baptized in water and be prayed for by spirit filled pastors (Instances in Acts 19:1-6 when Paul Paul prays for certain believers and they receive the Holy Spirit; Acts 2; Acts 4:31), and secondly you can receive the Holy Spirit through ministration or preaching of the word of God (Example of this is Cornelius and his family in Acts 10:1-48; 11:1-18). There are fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22) and evidence of the Spirit (1 Corinth 12:7-10). I am talking about the evidence of the Holy Spirit in us.

Finally, God is expecting a deeper relationship with us. To be pleased by God, we need to live by the Spirit because a man who has not the Spirit of God does not accept things of the Spirit because they are foolishness unto them, and cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned (1 Corith 2:14). It's about time we make Christ Jesus our first love and live in our Spirit because God is Spirit and those who worship him must worship in truth and in Spirit ( John 4:24). Know who you are in Christ Jesus because we are here on earth to reign, subdue and have dominion on earth. We have obtained the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven when Jesus died and redeemed us. We are gods (John 10:34) because we have the Holy Spirit in us.
